I’m Aditya Kumar — a designer, storyteller, and visual thinker with a background in graphic design and advertising art direction. I graduated summa cum laude from SCAD and have since worked across luxury home furnishings, lifestyle, and tech, bringing refined, emotionally intelligent design to life. Born and raised in New Delhi, I studied humanities with a focus on English literature, art history, global politics, still life painting, and coding. I led initiatives as cultural secretary, including a school-wide plastic ban and a discreet anti-bullying network, and spent three years in the Secretariat of our Model United Nations chapter, supporting international delegates through seamless IT and logistics.

My passion for accessibility in design is rooted in personal experience: my brother was born with cerebral palsy, and growing up alongside him shaped my belief that good design must include everyone. That philosophy carried into my work with SCAD SERVE, helping transform underserved public spaces, and continues to guide every project I take on today. Outside of work, I’m always moving, running, hiking, or somewhere on a court with a racket in hand. I’m endlessly curious about emerging tools, love exploring new technology, and have a deep enthusiasm for the history of design. Apple’s design legacy, particularly the work of Sir Jony Ive, has had a lasting influence on how I think about form, function, and storytelling.

Music is the emotional thread running through my life. I’m drawn to the cinematic strings of Bond and Vanessa-Mae, the ambient worlds of Ólafur Arnalds and Ryuichi Sakamoto, and the layered energy of synth-pop, R&B, and soul. I sing too, sometimes just for me, sometimes for everyone. And if you ever want to make my day a little better, a good Starbucks order works wonders.
